About Founder Cait Miller

Originally from the East Coast and now based in Cleveland, I am a proud queer, neurodivergent woman. As a death doula, grief companion, yoga teacher, community builder, and facilitator, I'm passionate about supporting people through the sacred journeys of life and death. With a deep blend of spiritual wisdom and wellness practices, l create a safe space for healing and connection. My background spans across yoga instruction, grief support, community service, and project management, as well as expertise in areas such as strategic relationship management and corporate social responsibility. I aim to integrate these diverse skills to guide individuals and organizations toward greater understanding and meaningful transformation.

I came to caregiving, experienced anticipatory grief, and embraced death beginning at the tender age of nine when myfather was diagnosed with cancer. After close to 20 years of witnessing his courageous battle with various illnesses, being present for his death in 2021, and experiencing a series of impactful losses throughout my life, I could no longer ignore the calling to death and grief care. Learning from Death Doula’s Alua Arthur and Lupe Tejada Diaz, I am a Going with Grace End of Life Training Graduate. I am a member of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA).

When I am not supporting others, I enjoy exploring nature, discovering new coffee shops, going to concerts, capturing moments with photography, and reading (often with a book from my local library). A passionate advocate for personal growth and recovery, I have been alcohol-free since July 2021. My happiest moments are spent near water, where I feel most at peace. I am a current Hope Springs Institute Board Member and believe in the organization’s mission deeply. I was a 2023 recipient of The Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club Top 25 under 35 Movers and Shakers Award, a member of the Cleveland Foundation’s 2024 Foundations for Philanthropy Cohort, and am a current member of the Cleveland Leadership Center’s Bridge Builders Class of 2025.
